All the soft things you'll ever need are here!!

Sleep is not simply just a period when a person's body and brain go on stand by. During the time that you take a snooze, your brain remains occupied, managing a vast diversity of biological repairs and maintenance that will have you functioning at prime condition as well as gear you up for the day ahead. Without having sufficient time for regenerative sleep, our body will be similar to a car having the need for an oil change. You wouldn't have enough capacity to work, study, create, and communicate at a level perhaps near to your own true potential. Habitually give up on the body repair and maintenance and you'll be headed for a major mental and physical meltdown.

While sleep requirements change a little bit from one person to another, almost all healthy adults require somewhere between 7.5 to 9 hours of sleep each night in order to function at their most effective. Children and teenagers will need even more. And regardless of the idea that sleep requirements cut down with age, older men and women still have to have at least 7.5 to 8 hours of sleep. Since more mature adults oftentimes have difficulty sleeping that long during the night, daytime naps will be able to help fill in the gap.

What does a person's sleeping "position" say about who they are as a person?

Scientists believe that the position in which a person goes to sleep presents a significant clue in relation to the particular kind of person they tend to be.

Professor Chris Idzikowski, director of the Sleep Assessment and Advisory Service, has analyzed 6 common sleeping positions - and discovered that each one is actually associated to a certain personality type.

The Fetus: Is actually the most usual sleeping position. Individuals who curl up in the fetal position are identified as tough on the outside but sensitive in the inside. These people may be shy when they initially meet somebody, but soon relax. According to the data from a survey, women have the inclination to adopt this position more than twice the number of men who do.

Log: Lying on your side with the two arms down by your side. These types of sleepers can be easy going, social individuals who like being part of the in-crowd, and who are trusting of strangers. They may also be gullible.

The yearner: People who sleep on their side with the two arms out in front are said to have an open character, although can be suspicious, and cynical. These individuals tend to be slow to make up their minds, but the moment they have made a decision, they are less likely to change it.

Soldier: Lying on your back with the two arms pinned to your sides. Individuals who sleep in this position are commonly quiet and reserved. These people don't like a fuss, but set themselves and other people high standards.

Freefall: Lying on your front with your hands around the pillow, and your head turned to one side. Often gregarious and bold people, but can be nervy and thin-skinned underneath, and doesn't like criticism, or extreme situations.

Starfish: Lying on your back with both arms up around the pillow. These sleepers make great buddies because they are always ready to listen to other people, and offer help when needed. They normally do not like to be the center of attention.
